The responsibility to care for a family lies with females, and it can be a daunting task, so many females find it difficult to manage home and work simultaneously. Some people feel that such women should receive some remuneration from the government. This argument is justified in my point of view.
Firstly, taking care of home and family can be full-time work: it requires dedication, effort, and focus from all the family members especially, mothers. Women who take a break from their careers or leave careers to attend to their families spend golden years of their life making sure that their family members are happy and healthy. Also, they ensure that their children are well-brought-up to contribute to the future of society. It is a vital contribution to society.
It has been observed that homemakers usually depend on their earning family members for their expenses. Most of such women, at times, have to sacrifice their desires; in fact, in some cases, some of these women are frequently belittled for not earning money which can lead to stress, even depression.
Women in most societies play a vital role in shaping the citizens of tomorrow. It goes without saying that these females must be stopped from compromising too much. A happy and confident female can bring up a confident and capable child and take good care of her household. One way to make sure that these women live a respectable life is to extend a helping hand for them.
In my opinion, in the light of the immense contribution the fair sex has towards the community and the country, they have a right to economic self-sufficiency. Government must ensure that homemakers get a minimum wage, for they may live a life of dignity and contentment.
