It is often believed that people should donate a designated amount from their earnings for humanitarian purposes. I agree with this point of view, for being charitable has numerous benefits for those who donate and receive it alike. Therefore, assigning a definite amount from earnings to help others ensures a commitment to philanthropy.
Charity can help those who receive it. Many people need a little help with which they can be uplifted. Charities, in education, food, and fighting calamities, ensure those in need are immediately helped by those having a surplus supply of resources. The ones that either do not have enough or are suffering can be helped and uplifted, making this world a better place. For example, the charities received at orphanages are used for the betterment of the children who have no other means available. The generosity extended by some people can give them a secure present and a progressive future, which can further help them contribute positively to society.
Not just this, being charitable is highly beneficial for the ones who do it. It has spiritual and practical benefits. First, this helps the donor have a sense of satisfaction and purpose. It also helps set an example for others. To ensure that some of the amount or resources are always directed towards the noble cause of charity, without any hindrance, the practice of reserving a fixed portion of earnings is suggested for donations.
Charity is a virtuous practice that can help the world become a better place, which ultimately helps everyone. Therefore, allocating a fixed portion of incoming resources, by those who have more than they need can help ensure that charity work goes on seamlessly.
